Since this pandemic prompts us to adapt and reinvent ourselves, we are offering a virtual collective activity on April 21! The mouth committee, under the leadership of Mélanie Verret, is working to validate the concept with some of our members. Details will follow shortly, watch for communications from Lise Baillargeon and join us! We look forward to seeing you again!
In this context, our annual general meeting, which was to take place in April, is postponed in May. This will allow us to familiarize ourselves with this new type of meeting and to make the necessary adjustments if necessary. On this occasion, the recruitment manager, Richard Girard, will present the selection criteria and the process carried out when recruiting new members.
The cancellation of the North American convention, which was to be held in Winnipeg at the end of April, has significant financial consequences for this club. To help them cover part of the deficit, estimated at between $ 24,000 and $ 40,000, depending on the percentage recovered from deposits already paid, each of the Canadian clubs is invited to contribute. The Quebec club’s board of directors has decided to offer compensation to the Winnipeg club of $ 2,000, roughly the equivalent of the cost of attending this convention.
Good luck friends. See you very soon!
Happiness, health, friendships, long life, SKAL!
